Are we every truly free?
So we have free will; at least we do if we have a degree of wealth, education and live in a capitalist state that provides us with a focus for our wants and desires, right? But is this truly freedom? Tied to the 9 to 5. Bound by financial commitment. Always wanting the bigger and better version of what we have?
To Ispy it seems that we are slaves to capitalism. We live to work, to provide the material wealth that will never replace love, friendship or belonging. Is it better to die rich and lonely or poor and loved? Its not a difficult question for Ispy to answer. Material wealth is of little consequence to her. Home is where her people are. Belongings are just stuff. Memories are treasure. Sometimes the least valuable item in a persons home will hold the most value to that person. For Ispy, next after the living beings, this would be letters; many hundreds of letters in boxes and stored away, mostly from loved ones no longer living.
Freedom is the ability to release your self from the shackles of materialist wealth.
If you truly felt loved and loved in return would you really need the latest model of phone, car, computer, shoes, lipstick …
If you value your freedom open your eyes and ears. The leadership want us to be tied to their capitalist state. They don’t want people to live in communities with cooperatives who exchange trade for trade, care for care, produce for produce …
Think about it …
Is it really worth working so hard, tying yourself to something that can never bring true happiness? True freedom is the ability to relax in the presence of loved ones, food for the next meal, shelter and warmth. What more do you really need?
